The Windermere & Ambleside Lions Club is very pleased to award the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award to Lion Chris Amos at our recent Charter, in recognition of the excellent work serving his community over many years, through his association with the Windermere and Ambleside Lions Club.
The Melvin Jones Fellowship Award is the highest accolade any Lions Club member can receive, so we congratulate and thank Chris Amos for his excellent contribution over his years of service with our Club!
The Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF) takes its name from the founder of Lions Club International, Melvin Jones. It was establised as Lions Club International Foundation’s (LCIF) highest form of recognition to acknowledge an individual’s dedication to humanitarian service. The recipient of this award becomes a model because of the exemplary service to their club and community for which it serves.
